I finally got into the Brawler's Guild thanks to one of my kind guildie friends! So far, I have gotten to Ixx. Not without much frustration though. It was suggested to me that I might not be the best person for this content. Presumably because I stand in bad stuff and don't take so well to tactics. So, being the stubborn little gnomie that I am I decided to go at it as hard as I could. After spending an entire conversation pretending something was in my eye and rubbing it with my middle finger, all the while making it look like I was paying attention.
The first 9 bosses I took down pretty easily. Except for Dippy the penguin, ironically. He caused my first death. But that was because I didn't want to kill him! Why would you force me to kill him, Blizzard? Why? You sick puppies! The first boss that gave me real trouble was Sanoriak (or, as I call him, the big fiery bastard). He caused me a ton of frustration and lots of swears. I think I might hold the record for the most time anyone could say 'shit' in a few seconds. I hate him. A lot. I'd say how many times he killed me but I'm trying to look good here, ok! Ixx has taken me down twice now, but I almost got him on the last time, so hopefully he won't have me wanting to tear the monitor from the desk and throw it out of the window. I have to kill other gnomies too, I hear. I think this is going to take me a lot longer than I expected...
The best advice I could give is to not panic. This has led to almost everyone of my deaths (except for when I just stood and got nuked in a second). I forget that I have Time Warp, Alter Time and virtually every other mage ability when this happens. I see my Elemental die or hear the bleep that I have low health and I panic really bad. Then die. Don't do that! Also, the Icy Veins Brawler's Guild Guide is fantastic for knowing what you're up against. It's saved countless deaths for me and hopefully many more. Get in groups with other players and remember to buff up. Or if you're me, totally forget and have to be reminded.
All in all, Brawler's is a lot of fun, frustrating though it is. I'm so glad I got my invite and hopefully soon will be able to pass my invite on. Before next expansion anyway!

Gnome Planking: Stormwind Edition
Spidergnomie has been out again. It seems gnomies can plank off pretty much everything. It doesn't work for humans and Nelfs (tested) so it could just be gnomie magic...*poof* More proof of the awesomeness that is Gnomes! All gnomies must try sometime! From silly places! I'm Out! Loud and Proud!
I got outed in my guild tonight. Yes, my deep, dark secret was announced to all. I'm gay...
Not really! But if I were, I would totally be awesome and proud anyway! But bad jokes aside, my secret blog hobby was posted in guild chat. Only a chosen few knew of it's location. But now, it's out there! After a liiitle bit of shyness and some reasurrance, I'm quite happy that it was and hope that people will enjoy reading it, or ignore it completely. I'll still continue to talk to myself (and Loremaster Cho) anyway! Tonight I shall post a few pictures of awesome stuff that happened lately...
I'm all squuueeeeey at the minute in game. I got my mojo back! I did RF for the first time since the last flashy fail. I avoided Mogushan and Vaults but did do some of HoF and ToES. And I have to say I loooooooooved it!!! My beautiful healer guild friend (not the dwarf, he's way too grumpy) joined me for the fun. And fun it was. I love ToES (I really can't be bothered to type the full name, even though this is taking way longer, and I had to delete once already because of caps fail). Lei Shi is officially THE cutest boss EVAH! Hide and Seek? I'm in! Blizzard, you win back my undying loyalty. And I got 3 pieces from those runs and 3 sigils! Yes, you heard that right. I gots the loots! With only 1 coin used and that just gave me gold. And I can be frost now and not be completely fail! So, I've been doing dailies again for those pretty patterns. Because I'm waaay too tight to pay out my gold for them. Farming is the way forward! And I'm Ah'ing again! Ahhh, giddy gnomie is giddy! I can be more than a fishing gnomie again! I'm looking forward to a guildie RF run so much! Vent squeeeing and giggles will happen!
I have a new mog for my pvp kit too! And it's beautiful! I finally growed up into a big gnomie and now I look pretty while I deal out frosty pain. I just need the dagger from Ulduar and it's totally complete. But it's still rather pretty without that, even if I say so myself! Thank you for the Jade Fan too... you know who you are! It comes in handy for cooling myself off after a good killing spree ;)
