Late Night Conversations With My Mini-Me

My daughter plays WoW. While she's not always sure on everything she's doing, she's quite happy to set up a Sha group, go to RF alone or pew pew Oondasta. Which is awesome for a small one. But the two best things about her playing are the way she shouts at the screen when she's in a BG and conversations we randomly have when she gets up late at night. I was stood in Shrine, watching some mages on the dummies while I was chatting to one of my friends. Little one comes down for a drink, sees this and conversation goes as follows, in the most serious tone I've ever heard from her:

Awww mum, I'm such a duggie!!
Obviously, but why this time?
You know those things (dummies). Well I tried to kill one one day. I proper tried to kill it. Used all my spells and everything!
Really?
Oh yeah, I was stood there for like 20 mins trying to kill it. Until I realised they don't die. Did a massive facepalm then RP walked away.

Cue a major giggle fit from the pair of us. Nice work, small one. Tried to kill a dummy? Yep, she's definitely my child! Death to all dummies!!

Whooo, I'm Awesome!

There's been some tough times here in Gnome Towers lately. But thankfully, I have some good friends to turn to for support and to cheer me up when I'm down. Last night I heard THE best impression anyone has ever done of me. I almost passed out from laughing. Using Ai-Li's Skymirror to turn into me, my dwarfish friend did a vent run through of my most commonly used phrases, in the most high pitched voice you ever heard. Highlights include:

  • Look at me, I'm AnyaRose. I'm awesome!
  • Lalala I'm in the AH/bank/Trade District
  • Squeee!
  • *Giggle, giggle, giggle, giggle*
  • I'm killing hordies!
  • Slutty Draenei/Belf/Human, I call it!
  • Duggie!
  • Whooo look at me, I'm awesome! (I do say that a LOT, but I'm a gnome. It's allowed)
  • I'm gonna faceplant this keyboard so hard soon if I don't sleep
  • Oh, I am totally gonna do that!
  • Whatevah
  • True story! Fact even!
There were many more that I can't remember now. But one thing is for sure. If that's how I talk, I must be a real pain in the ass in vent! I totally overuse the word totally! My Yorkshire is getting a little stronger lately, making me incomprehensible at times. I know, it'll pass when I'm less tired and stressed. Then I can go back to being a giggly lil trolling gnome. Or get serious and ready for raiding!

Huge thank you!

Serious Gnome is Serious!

Yes, it's happening. No more shall I be all 'lalala, I'm a gnome and I'm awesome'. I'm going to be all serious gnome from now on! I'm in training to be raid ready in a few weeks. Cue epic montage music, clips of gnome press-ups and running till I'm all sweaty. In my mind...

So, I need to get my ilvl up to 500 to try to raid. Tonight I managed to replace my 476 gloves with the sparkly, Flameweaver Handwraps by getting Honored with Shadowpan Assault. I was only a teeny bit away, so one part of ToT RF got me there. In that RF run I dropped two pieces of loot. Because it seems I'm quite lucky on the loot drops! Or not. I dropped 2 chest pieces. And then this little rant happened (disclaimer: it's a foul mouthed Yorkshire accented rant about two octaves lower than my normal voice):

"Two Chest pieces, Blizzard. Two f**king chest pieces! Are you f**king kidding me. You absolute f**king shitheads! Why the f**k would I need two f**king chest pieces??? Argggh, I hate you!!!"

Then I drank tea and made silk while I shed a tear for my lost coins.

Now this is a common theme in my loot drops. I drop loot nearly every time I go somewhere, RF, Sha etc. But it's always the same stuff. When I use a coin I get exactly the same item as I looted or something very similar. Waste of coins, and makes me lose my calm, gnomish mind completely. Thankfully, I was out of vent and had no one around to hear me sound like Gordon 'F**king' Ramsey. I know I'm not alone on this. But seriously, I'm trying to stop cursing, Blizzard. So why do you make it so hard for me?

But I'm up to 496 now in just over an hour. Now to get the golds to buy the Haunting Spirits I need to make a 522 headpiece and hopefully some new shoes. Only need about 100k. Easy... *makes more tea*. Hopefully some shinies might drop before then. Hopefully. More than likely another chest piece.

Hyjal Bear Cub! I Choose You!

Now, I've tried pet battles in the past and not enjoyed it. But tonight I decided to have a proper go. I had a few pets at level 10 that were gifted to me, so I thought, why not! I did some random battles to level up fast. Flew to the right areas, caught a few rares, then decided to do the quests for the achievement. And here is where I met Lindsay (I know, I know, I'm late to the party!). So very cute, with her lil bunnies! Did I feel bad about slaughtering them and making her cry? No. Not in the slightest. In fact I took great pleasure in setting my much higher level Hyjal Bear Cub loose to savage her bunnies. Now I'm coming for the rest of you pet trainers! And I'll slaughter all your pets!!!! Except the higher level ones. I'll leave those for a bit. Just to give time them to be trained of course ;)

Tron Party!

On Sunday, my lil one (or not so lil now) levelled up to 12! We had a quiet day, in readiness for the birthday girl's Laser Tag event last night. Which was an epic idea! Even though 3 games nigh on killed me. Nothing like chasing round a bunch of kids for two hours to prove how unfit you are! So with eight 10-12 year olds (almost all taller than me), a ton of UV paint and ninja transmogs on, off we went.

We painted up ready for battle and this was the result,. Which looked awesome under the UV lights but got us some funny looks in daylight:

Releasing my inner drag queen
Easy targets ;)

Now, first game we were all together as a team. Against a bunch of 6 year olds. Which was awkward. None of us wanted to make them cry. Until that is, one little angelic boy walked up to me and said, "don't shoot! My pack isn't working!" So, I was all awww, let me take a look. Then he shot me, laughed and ran off. To shouts from me of, "you better hide! You're going down, Steel!!!!" Tricky little bugger! So, from then it was game on. Instead of my usual trick of staying high and sniping them down, I went for bases and took two, that were guarded by lazy adults hiding from kids. I took 44 hits...most of them from Steel doing his midget Terminator impression. But we won the first game and the second.

To even things up, we changed the teams around so there was a mix of tiny people and tall people. And everyone was painted with the left over UV paint. Which made targetting a bit harder. I immediately gained a new arena partner. I got a pull on the back of my shirt from a little gnome...erm I mean boy... who wanted to come with me. Together we formed an unstoppable team. He would trick them with cuteness while I shot them from behind a wall, or I would go out as bait and cover with laser fire while he ran to a new spot to get the best shots at a bunch of girls hiding together. Cue high (or low, in our case) five's and air punches! We threw in a bit of comedy dramatic falls to the floor as we got shot and laughed in the faces of people we took down. Epic teamwork!

The evening was a lot of fun that all enjoyed. Even though it took me 8 hours sleep to get over, and am left with aching muscles that I didn't know I had.

Hands Off My Mog!

I finally find a nice mog, that I haven't seen on anyone else and look what happens!

Danaerys Targaryan, find your own bloody mogs! Also, the Iron Throne is mine. My Elemental would easily kick your dragons' butts. Easily. Let this be a warning...

50 Ways To Say Goodbye...

I have THE new most favouritist thing EVAH! My little, accidentally evil (messed with dark magicks...sigh), gnome brother showed me a drop that I absolutely love. I shouldn't really enjoy it so much, but I do. I can kill myself every 30 minutes with Ra'Sha's Sacrificial Dagger. So, instead of using it to do something sensible like killing myself to avoid repair costs, I'm going to off myself as often as possible. Drop a pair of legs that I already have, then use a coin on Sha of Anger and get another pair of the same will no longer end in a rage. I'll just kill myself in protest. Go to SW Cathedral with a plague and dramatically die on the steps. Throw myself of something high and explode after I hit the floor... the possibilities are endless.

3 days later...

I have so far killed myself by the following methods: I went to the steps of SW Cathedral and committed suicide because I was so embarrassed at marking myself as a target in HoF RF, instead of the thing we needed to kill. I brought the plague here also. I coughed blood all over myself and a few other people and started an epic, epic RP story. With people panicking about a new plague after my lil gnome brother and a beautiful priestess also died in a similar way. The people of SW kindly burned my body and said some nice words for us and then carried on the story. But my favourite was this:

Poor dead gnome on a parachute

You can dismount from a great height, use the dagger and a parachute will gently carry your dead body to earth.

I'm easily pleased, I know.
