With a Little Help From Your Friends

The friends we make in game don't only exist in Azeroth. Many of us who play together become RL friends. As in game we support each other, so in RL we do too. A friend I made some years ago when I joined his guild has consistently been there to listen to my troubles and offer words of advice or support when I needed it, and no doubt the same for many other guild members. So, we wanted to get together as a group and let you know that we are here whenever you need us. For chats, a rest from day to day things, serious boss fights or general silliness! Hopefully things are looking up now and continue to do so over the next few months! We wish you well and many /hugs, Penthea & Bairanax!

Our favourite pets all showed up too. Though some of them are hiding. Pooh bear just doesn't have a clue.

Veralin may have spent a little too much time at the gym. Work it! Flex! :D
A few others would have liked to be here too but unfortunately could not make it. They send the same warm wishes!

How Many 'Awesomes' Can I get In One Post?

After days of 3k queues, tonight I logged in to this!

And it was awesome! And 5 days free play? And winner of my guild's member's choice transmog award! Tonight has been awesome. Giggly little gnomie is giggly! I even managed some solo Firelands. Which previously was an epic shitstorm for me. Alysrazor's super saiyan ground level flashy lights always left me feeling ill but tonight I managed to kick it's ass. Alone!

Tomorrow I will work on some other gnomie to get her ready to PvP again soon. Wheeeeeee, Warlords of Draenor is beginning to look awesome!

Sleep Tight, Hope the Bed Bugs Don't Bite

I finally got into Draenor this evening. A few glitchy Garrison episodes and some toad squeezing later and I'm all ready for bed. Giant flower picking is very tiring.
Where am I supposed to keep that?
My Garrison feels a little busy and there's random dudes in the barracks so I picked a spot outside to rest my weary lil gnomie head. Night night folks!

This place could do with some work...

Last Memories of Pandaria

Sooooo satisfying when they form a death queue!

Uhmmm are you sure about this, Wrathion?

Nanananana Bat Gnomie!

They'll bend the knee or I'll destroy them

Waaah so cute, huge me!

Final plank of Pandaria with my good friend, Penthea!

A New Beginning

And so it has begun. A new world, a new challenge. The world of Draenor awaits. My queue is looong but so far I've found it worth the wait. I've played a total of about 3 hours and spent countless hours in queue before giving up. But for the little time I've been there, I've enjoyed it. The world is not as much to my taste as Pandaria but it's pretty nontheless. And the quests so far have been fun. But the thing I love most so far is setting up my garrison. I have 3 followers. Brave ones. Possibly the bravest in all Draenor! And I shall send them on allll of the quests! I love the idea of the garrisons very much. But aside from that there is not much to tell. Soon though, there will be a wealth of tales to share!

Whoot! I found a pretty, pink shiny

Aaaaand Breathe!

So, I've given the new patch a few days to settle before I posted again. Sadly, I still feel the same about my gnomies. I don't think that will change. My monk is not too bad, she can carry bitch face, but my mage not so much. Though when they are asleep or dead they look really great. Just a shame that didn't carry over.

Sleeping Beauty

After my overwhelmingly negative reaction I thought I should post about some of the positives! I love, love the new male dwarves. They look absolutely awesome...and ripped! Really impressed with the changes made there. I love that my frost mage is all frost now (and that I don't have to take Living Bomb) but I dislike that I can't have Mirror Image as a standard spell. I miss Alter Time a huge amount, though it has caused me many a death (landing back in Thunderstruck, anyone?), I absolutely loved that talent. Brilliant for PvP too, imho. Movement seems way more fluid and smooth now. I do feel a bit like I'm doing a 3 button smash when DPS'ing, which I'm not a fan of but I guess when I play more and have a rotation that will change.

Anyway, back in I go! More updates to follow!

Weekly Kodak Update

Beer Hat! Now I just need the shanker for my drunken gnome to look complete!

Hey! Guys! Break it up already! Stop the madness!

*Sandstone Drake* I am tiny! Hear me roar!

Hide and seek in Guo Lai Halls!

Saturday Night Secret Sharing

I haven't been having my usual, drunk, old late night Saturday sessions for a while now. It used to be PvP night for me but since I lost my passion for the mage, I haven't felt the urge to stay up grinding bgs for gear I won't use. But tonight I had a good long session and made a new friend. Now, by general rule I don't talk much outside my guild. Because amongst the last few conversations, I've been called a 'fucker' and someone I talked to whispered me non stop, then declared an urge to 'pound that cute gnome ass all night'. My gnome didn't like that idea much...

But tonight I accidentally invited someone I meant to inspect to party. Both of us were farming Korkron Lumber area but for different things. Usually I'm all on my own up there, so I was surprised to see another mage. And I wanted to inspect for ideas with my mage's build as they were doing a pretty good job of nuking the mobs down. What started as another of my usual click fails ended in a great time sharing farming tips! And everyone knows how much I love to farm. New places to make golds in my professions are always welcome! And they went away with a ton of new places to farm too. So it was win win all round. It really made a nice change to talk shop with a fellow farmer.

I also did rf on my mage, which is something I have been avoiding for a while now. But I'm almost at the cloak, so I might as well get those last stones while the Prince gazes upon me. And get them I did! 100% drop! Still made me want to smash my PC up at times but the reward slightly outweighed the anger and frustration that rf brings. All in all, not a bad night. I even feel the urge to PvP again. So all those cows best watch out! And my Loremaster is going well. The Twilight Highlands quests made me giggle so hard. I can't believe I missed out on them before!

And for My Next Trick...

After much deliberation, my fluffy fat panda shed some fur and podge and became a cute lil gnomie! And she is so cute I could just die. I haven't always been settled with my panda. I just couldn't get to grips with being so big and clumsy looking. But now I'm back to my true self. Gnome to the bone! She's very much like her sister gnomie, Icklegem, in appearance granted, but way more chill. She's so cute when she casts her healing snot and when she calmly meditates before blasting the enemy with her Crackling Jade Lightning, that I don't care. She will also dual spec as a barrel chucker or Brewmaster, as they are more commonly known. I like the idea of a teeny tiny gnomie throwing barrels bigger than her!

Welcome Anèira, funky lil monkie

My Worst Nightmare

*weeps* I'm a f**king pink goblin. No one will ever take me seriously now

Traitors!

My child confessed something to me tonight...she went from frost to fire! I'm considering adoption. I'm hoping it's just a phase or 'experimentation'. She'll come back to frost, I know it. Otherwise, a certain Fire mage in my guild will be getting a lodger! She's house trained at least, so you just have to put up with the rest of teenage awesomeness!

In other news, I tried Celestials on my gnome. Why, I do not know. Maybe I'm a masochist. Maybe I like going there on my PvP char to get duplicate copies of my PvE gloves on a roll of a seal. But arrrrrrggggghhhhh! PvE gloves???? And PvP gear on Snowflake???? F**k you, loot gods. Seriously.

That Was a Long BRB

It's been a looooong time since I posted here. Lots of things going on but I'll try to get back in the swing of things! My little Snowflake is now all growed up. A big lvl 90, chubby panda monk. Her healing is a little better but still, quite the nub she is! I do love playing her though and she's now become my PvE main. I never thought I'd say it....but I fucking love dungeons and RF (well, sometimes)! I've given up on the cloak on Icklegem, as I really can't be arsed, or have the time, to do all the RF on both. So, hopefully, Snowflake will get it before the next expansion hits. Oh and the herbing and mining...I could do those all day and not get bored. Sad I know, but makes a change from fishing! I could still use a ton of gear on her but I'm really not a fan of Siege of Orgrimmar. It takes waaaay too long to even do one part, that I lose the will to live after two. And still too chicken to try flex. But she's catching up, slowly but surely. Even with her Terrace of Endless Springs weapon...

Smile for the nice people reading this, Snowflake. Or just me
My tiny gnomie is mainly PvP now. My late sat night sessions have not been so frequent lately but I'm hoping to get in there again with her soon for some BG throwdowns! She's quite awesome at killing hordies, not so much at pew pewing bosses. And it's kinda nice to have the two separated, Even if I do keep trying to throw down my statue or cast renewing mists when I'm a bloody mage. I dread to think if I try to level a third. I'll feel schizophrenic. For now, these little ones have my heart. I've decided to start a project with my gnomie though, to see allll of Azeroth! I will get that Loremaster title. I chose my gnomie for this challenge because I'm still too lazy to fly. And will spend most of my time getting on wrong boats, falling of massive, giant, huge trees etc if I do it on my panda. I hope that I'll find some fun places to quest and see all the things that I was too lazy to do the first time round ;) Oh and this...

Shit...
I have wanted Tarecgosa's Rest since Cata and now I'm halfway there (I think?). Though sometimes I have to be pushed a little to do it every week. I have the concentration span of a gnat, it's true. But thanks to awesome guildies, the runs are fast and pain free and soon I will be a big dragon above SW!

Hopefully, I'll be here a little more with interesting tales of my adventures around Azeroth! Or rants...or both! Thanks for reading. Till soon!

PS: My PvP mog came before Daenerys Targaryen. She stole it from me!

Snowflake Can't Heal!

My sweet little Mistweaver took a little detour into a BG tonight. Purely by accident, because I promised myself to level her in PvE. She just tripped and fell into the BG, honestly! Now with my lil gnomie, I levelled in BG's because I did not enjoy dungeons. Mainly due to the shouting when I was all new to it. And how the tables have turned! Now in dungeons, I get people being all nice to me, even if I bugger up a little and in PvP I got raged at! With swear words and everything! He even did say the f word once. I got called a shitty healer by a rogue who ran past me and needed heals apparently. By whisper! No one whispers in BG's. Be a normal PvP'er and complain in /i about all the nubs and we can all just ignore it and carry on what we're doing. I haven't got time to respond to whispers. I was all busy concentrating on the multiple targets and trying to keep myself alive and being all "arrrrghhh, what is happening? Who needs healing!", and swearing loudly, to know that one rogue was running past me in need of heals. I only bloody had this char just over a week and it's at 53. Long story short...f**k PvP healing. He forgot I healed him while he did a flag run, and as a side note...highest healing in that BG *wink*. It's just not fun getting smashed by all the horde in the world and having to make sure I don't miss anyone when handing out green misty awesomeness. So my lil gnomie will become full PvP and my curvy (not fat) panda can do the PvE stuff. Or at least that's the plan...

Also, this week I fell off the big tree in Teldrassil. There are no words to describe just how bad that was. I only took a look over the edge to see if the boat was that way and then there I was, falling fooooorrrreeeever. Ask the dwarf how many curse words were spoken during that fall. Personal record.

Welcome, Snowflake

My lil gnomie is broken. Her DPS has dropped and I know not why, only that she's frustrating me at the moment. So I decided to have a lil break from her and try something completely different. Welcome, Xuehua. Or Snowflake, as she's affectionately known.

First flag run!

This is Xuehua, version 3. I've tried her a few times now, but this time she's here to stay! I just have to get used to healing instead of pew pewing. Which is proving to be a bit of a problem thus far. Still, plenty of time to get used to her! In true nub style, I already made some super special mistakes. Like in the start quests, going for that one last sprite next to the edge of a cliff and clicking roll instead of blackout kick... Straight off the edge and thanks to the panda Bouncy racial, didn't die. Nice achievement but I had to Hearthstone to get back up and ended up in the Panda starting spot. 15 minutes of running and getting lost to get back to the quest! Not a fan of running....as you can see from my Panda's fat belly!

Things I learned from Rafiki

Isn't the Lion King a great film? I haven't watched it for a long time, since my lil one is not so lil now and prefers grown up movies to Disney. But the Lion King is such a wonderful story. My favourite part of the movie is this:

Wise old monkey, no? My second favourite part of the story is Pumba's gas in Hakuna Matata but that's less important...

I Need Help!

Stone Dragons Guild

I was sent here by my good friend, Icklegem. She told me you guys were the people to come to for help. I need a few of you to help me to find my crazy, old grandma. She's been missing a few days now. The last that anyone heard she had gone to Karazhan to find a ring that was stolen from her. No one has heard anything since and I am very, very worried. We have had trouble from the Big Bad Wolf in the past and I fear he might have gone there after her. She's pretty senile now and easily confused, so she might be easily tricked by him.

I am too afraid to go there alone. Especially around this time of year. I hear that it's a bad place. One tale tells of a huge dragon that once ate a gnome whole. It makes me very nervous. So please, meet me there if you can and help me find my dear old granny. I'll be waiting.

Totally a Pink Goblin!

I got a new mog! A pretty, pink, girly, pirate mog. Yes, I have a wicked eye patch! But I really feel like I might have to get Visage of the Destroyer to complete the look. For now though, I'll have to manage with my Warpstaff of Arcanum. Until I can stop being lazy and do DS HC again.

And my awesomely cute living frost bolt. Poor elemental is feeling a little left out now I have an Ominous Flame by my side at all times. Because it's just the best mage pet ever! A perfect match for my Frostfire Bolt. I'm not a pet collector, but I just had to have this one. Even though he gets in my face all the time. Seriously, I'm trying to concentrate and not stand in crap and there he is, in front of me, trying to stare me out. And oh! My Jademist Dancer to match my PvP mog! The two prettiest pets EVAH! I know, I'm such a girl...

Me and mah new bff! Gnome sized pet ftw!

I think Elemental is really mad. He turned his back on us and refused a screenie. Not a word about the staff...(certain dwarf I know)

Let the PvP Begin!

I...I was in a winning battleground tonight. I can't even speak right now, I'm so surprised. I'd like to thank the priest healing and the druid flag carrying. Also, special mention goes to the Undead DK who I spent as much spare time as I could on. Mainly to make him penguin and giggle at him, after he and his friends (3 of them) nuked me, then laughed at my poor lil ungeared gnomie. I got creative. Penguin from the room, penguin from invisible, penguin from a doorway. And a little giggle following each. He did do a /spit on me in the end. Achievement earned! Warsong Gulch Victory and piss off a DK. I missed PvP so much! MOAR PvP TIME!

Timeless Isle: Pretty But Dull

Well, we got the new patch. And I love how Timeless Isle looks. But I'm avoiding it like the plague. It's just way too crowded to even consider doing anything there at the moment. Aside from the epic lag, tagging anything to kill is a nightmare. So, I've been busy doing other things. Like pet battles. So I could have all the pets I sent back from my old account. There was one giant fail though. After spending 3 days solid levelling a Hyjal Bear Cub that was on loan, I sent it back to it's owner before I put my own level 25's into my journal. So, I had to go find a Pandaria pet and level that to 25 instead. Which was a massive pain in the butt. I'm sure we all know the awesomeness of Hyjal Bear Cub (or Pooh Bear). Bandicoons just don't compare. Cue lots of pet deaths and crying over my tea. I got there in the end though and now I have my super cute pets back with me!

While I was in the mood for all things pets, I heard tales of a Timeless Isle pet. This evening I went back. Ice Lanced a Highland Albatross and flew around in it's mouth for a while.

The flight is long and uncomfortable. 4 minutes or so to get there, then kill the Albatross and Slow Fall into the lake. That worked well the first two times. However, shortly before I decided to write this entry, something ridiculous happened that had me screaming at the screen until I rage quitted the game for the evening. I was happily flying in the Albatross' mouth, reading some guides and plotting my farming/RF/PvP plans for the next week, when the lake was in sight. I started to kill the Albatross, when this happened:

Don't think so, Pedro. I'll kill you too.
I almost killed the first, when another plucked me out of it's mouth and started to carry me away. So, I thought, ok, lets kill this one too. Then this happened:

Hey! Put me down! I call shenanigans!
See the Albatross behind mine? This one pulled me out of the clutches of the one I was in and tried to carry me away. This happened 4 times in total. By which time I was so enraged that I rage quit, mid air. Is this a common occurance? Or does this crap only happen to me? A bloody Albatross relay race, using me as the baton! Anyone giggling, shhh :P I will go back, but for the moment it isn't safe for my PC screen for me to go.

Oh, and Little Tommy, all sweet and 'come and battle me'. Screw you, and your Lil Oondasta too. You troll. Proper fell for that one didn't I. Remember, kids. Read some guides before accepting pet battles from a not so sweet little boy and his big ass dinosaur.
