Arena Buddies For Life!

It's been a while since my last post. I've been crazy busy with work for the last few weeks. And I've been doing lots of things in WoW too! Busy little bee I have been! I'm squeezing this little post in on a break from doing work! But I have so much to say, I don't know where to start!

I'm doing arena's again! With my shiny new Dwarf Paladin arena partner! Who very kindly offered to go with me so I could gear up faster than at a snail pace in BG's. And we are awesome! Aside from the fact that we are incredibly handsome, witty and have the most beautiful outfits, we also kick ass! Who says Dwarfs and Gnomes can't be friends? I hit my conquest cap for the first time ever last week. And spent it all on new a Malevolent robe, which I will mog into my most favourite transmog EVAH! (More on that later!). Still struggling with a few classes though. Especially BM Hunters and Disco Priests. The look of horror on my face when all those beasties pop out, I'm sure would amuse many. I get confused, panic, the whole works. I duelled my friend's Hunter for practice and got my ass squarely kicked. But last night, we faced 2 of the swines in an arena and decided enough was enough! We nuked them into the floor with speed and precision. Ok, that's a lie (from my side anyway)...I just hit every button I had and hoped for the best! But it worked, they died and everyone was happy. Take that, BM Hunters! Priests, still have no clue with but I'm sure someone would be kind enough to let me practice on them soon, maybe? I'm enjoying these arena's sooo much, it's all I want to do. All the time! Impatient lil gnomie is impatient. MOAR ARENAS!!

I've also been RP'ing a little, with my gnome brother and our Paladin protector. Well, I say protector but so far he managed to almost get me in a duel with a fully PVP geared Holy Paladin. I mean, maybe I started it after the Holy Pala said he wanted to put me in a bag because I was cute and he was rude to my girls. And I got mad and threatened all kinds of gnomish evil. Ankle biting, the lot! But my Paladin friend totally encouraged a duel. I was up for it, after doing a quick inspect, until the bastard popped his other gear on. I thought, 'oooh, pretty mog', then did an inspect, then almost had a bladder accident. Full purple PvP gear?? I've never backed up so fast in my life. Especially when his equally geared Guild friends came too. The whispers I was getting were very amusing. I seem to drop into a lot of random RP encounters lately. And I'm rather enjoying them! Hugs from other gnomies, arguments with gnomie haters, even a little bit in a BG. Not too much though. Too busy killing or being killed to talk in BG's!

And the Squeeegnomie is no more, sadly. Until Winterveil comes round again. If I summon her, she gets angry, then disappears. But if I keep her summoned she reappears every time I get off my mount or go to a new area. And every time, she sounds angrier! So I like to do that a lot!

Squeegnomie, that's EXACTLY what I do all year and you know it.

She's such a cute little ball of rage. But now I have a new favourite! Introducing...

Baby Lei Shi!!!

Isn't she the sweetest?? My favourite boss ever and now I have the baby version!! I just want to play hide and seek all day with her. I keep poking her so she makes those adorable noises *dies*. And she matches my Elemental and transmog perfectly! By the way, isn't my new PvP transmog beeeeauttiful?? I feel like a grown up, pretty gnomie when I'm dealing out frosty death to Hordies now! My favourite transmog yet. And I did go get all the pieces, like a good gnomie, instead of just buying them *nods*, yes I did!

But for now I must get back to work, so I'm finished in time for Friday night RF with my guildie friends. Just to confirm, I will be having a drink this evening before the mother-in-law descends on us for 3 days. So apologies to all in advance. I may stand in every death pool, or blindly run around, or just giggle a ton. But it will be fun, I hope!

Gnomie Guide to Brawling

I finally got into the Brawler's Guild thanks to one of my kind guildie friends! So far, I have gotten to Ixx. Not without much frustration though. It was suggested to me that I might not be the best person for this content. Presumably because I stand in bad stuff and don't take so well to tactics. So, being the stubborn little gnomie that I am I decided to go at it as hard as I could. After spending an entire conversation pretending something was in my eye and rubbing it with my middle finger, all the while making it look like I was paying attention.

The first 9 bosses I took down pretty easily. Except for Dippy the penguin, ironically. He caused my first death. But that was because I didn't want to kill him! Why would you force me to kill him, Blizzard? Why? You sick puppies! The first boss that gave me real trouble was Sanoriak (or, as I call him, the big fiery bastard). He caused me a ton of frustration and lots of swears. I think I might hold the record for the most time anyone could say 'shit' in a few seconds. I hate him. A lot. I'd say how many times he killed me but I'm trying to look good here, ok! Ixx has taken me down twice now, but I almost got him on the last time, so hopefully he won't have me wanting to tear the monitor from the desk and throw it out of the window. I have to kill other gnomies too, I hear. I think this is going to take me a lot longer than I expected...

The best advice I could give is to not panic. This has led to almost everyone of my deaths (except for when I just stood and got nuked in a second). I forget that I have Time Warp, Alter Time and virtually every other mage ability when this happens. I see my Elemental die or hear the bleep that I have low health and I panic really bad. Then die. Don't do that! Also, the Icy Veins Brawler's Guild Guide is fantastic for knowing what you're up against. It's saved countless deaths for me and hopefully many more. Get in groups with other players and remember to buff up. Or if you're me, totally forget and have to be reminded.

All in all, Brawler's is a lot of fun, frustrating though it is. I'm so glad I got my invite and hopefully soon will be able to pass my invite on. Before next expansion anyway!

Gnome Planking: Stormwind Edition

Spidergnomie has been out again. It seems gnomies can plank off pretty much everything. It doesn't work for humans and Nelfs (tested) so it could just be gnomie magic...*poof* More proof of the awesomeness that is Gnomes! All gnomies must try sometime! From silly places! I got outed in my guild tonight. Yes, my deep, dark secret was announced to all. I'm gay...

Not really! But if I were, I would totally be awesome and proud anyway! But bad jokes aside, my secret blog hobby was posted in guild chat. Only a chosen few knew of it's location. But now, it's out there! After a liiitle bit of shyness and some reasurrance, I'm quite happy that it was and hope that people will enjoy reading it, or ignore it completely. I'll still continue to talk to myself (and Loremaster Cho) anyway! Tonight I shall post a few pictures of awesome stuff that happened lately...

I'm all squuueeeeey at the minute in game. I got my mojo back! I did RF for the first time since the last flashy fail. I avoided Mogushan and Vaults but did do some of HoF and ToES. And I have to say I loooooooooved it!!! My beautiful healer guild friend (not the dwarf, he's way too grumpy) joined me for the fun. And fun it was. I love ToES (I really can't be bothered to type the full name, even though this is taking way longer, and I had to delete once already because of caps fail). Lei Shi is officially THE cutest boss EVAH! Hide and Seek? I'm in! Blizzard, you win back my undying loyalty. And I got 3 pieces from those runs and 3 sigils! Yes, you heard that right. I gots the loots! With only 1 coin used and that just gave me gold. And I can be frost now and not be completely fail! So, I've been doing dailies again for those pretty patterns. Because I'm waaay too tight to pay out my gold for them. Farming is the way forward! And I'm Ah'ing again! Ahhh, giddy gnomie is giddy! I can be more than a fishing gnomie again! I'm looking forward to a guildie RF run so much! Vent squeeeing and giggles will happen!

I have a new mog for my pvp kit too! And it's beautiful! I finally growed up into a big gnomie and now I look pretty while I deal out frosty pain. I just need the dagger from Ulduar and it's totally complete. But it's still rather pretty without that, even if I say so myself! Thank you for the Jade Fan too... you know who you are! It comes in handy for cooling myself off after a good killing spree ;)
